Take on the unique challenge of a poker side bet game with Side Bet City at NX250. Every round unlocks different winning opportunities – from 3-card to 5-card bets – with payouts of up to ×1,000 times your stake!
About the Game
Side Bet City is a unique casino game developed by Evolution Gaming, now exclusively available on the NX250 Malaysia platform. Unlike standard poker or blackjack, Side Bet City focuses entirely on side bets based on poker hand combinations – players do not compete against each other; instead, everyone bets on the same outcome: the hand dealt by the dealer.
In a round of Side Bet City at NX250, the dealer draws cards in sets of 3, 5, and 7 consecutively. As a player, you can place bets on any combination – just the 3-card set, just the 5-card set, just the 7-card set, or all three at once in a single round. Each set is then evaluated based on the best possible poker hand, with payouts awarded according to the value of the combination formed. The concept is easy to grasp, yet every round is packed with tension and surprises.
At NX250, Side Bet City is available in Live Dealer format with high-quality video streaming. Watch a real dealer reveal each card one by one in real time — delivering an authentic casino experience without ever leaving home. Deposits and withdrawals are supported via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, Boost, ShopeePay and FPX, with NX250's customer service team on hand 24 hours a day.

Complete Guide
Side Bet City is a creation of Evolution Gaming — the world's most respected live casino software provider — and is now available exclusively at NX250 Malaysia. The game was first introduced to the Asian market several years ago and has continued to grow rapidly, particularly among Malaysian players who enjoy a live casino atmosphere but prefer to play from home. Side Bet City's popularity soared thanks to its unique concept — you're not competing against anyone else; everything comes down to the cards the dealer reveals.
What sets Side Bet City apart for NX250 players is that it removes the competitive pressure often felt in traditional poker. There is no need to worry about opponents bluffing or reading other players' expressions. All you decide is how much to wager on each card set — and the dealer resolves the outcome for everyone in the room simultaneously.
When you enter the Side Bet City room at NX250, you are greeted by a lavish casino studio setting. Professionally dressed dealers stand at a table adorned with neon lights inspired by a metropolitan cityscape — perfectly capturing the game's name, with "City" evoking a glittering, vibrant urban nightlife. Multi-angle cameras ensure you have a clear view of every dealer movement and every card placed on the table.
Each round begins with the betting phase – you have approximately 15 seconds to place your chips on the 3-card, 5-card, 7-card set, or any combination you choose. Once the betting window closes, the dealer begins revealing the cards one by one in a slow, dramatic fashion – building suspense with every flip. The NX250 system automatically calculates the best combination for each set and displays your winnings on screen in real time.
For NX250 players already comfortable with the basics of Side Bet City, there are several strategic approaches that can maximise long-term returns. First, understand the difference in expected value across each card set. The 3-card set carries lower variance — wins are more frequent but smaller in size. The 7-card set carries higher variance — wins are rarer, but the payouts can multiply significantly when a Royal Flush or Straight Flush appears.
The recommended approach for longer sessions at NX250 is to use consistent "betting units." For example, if your balance is RM500, set one unit = RM5. Bet 1 unit on the 3-card set, 2 units on the 5-card set, and hold 2 units in reserve for the 7-card set whenever you feel your luck is running hot. This strategy lets you play longer while keeping your chances of a big win from the 7-card set well within reach.
Many Malaysian players have shared their success stories playing Side Bet City at NX250. A player from Petaling Jaya recounted how he landed a Royal Flush on the 7-card set during a late-night session — a win worth RM34,000 from just a RM34 bet. "When the dealer turned over that 7th card, my heart nearly stopped. Royal Flush! I screamed the whole house down. The money hit my account within 10 minutes via DuitNow," he told the NX250 community.
Another player from Kota Kinabalu shared how he placed bets on all three sets simultaneously during bonus mode and landed a Full House on the 5-card set and a Straight on the 7-card set — all in the same round. His total winnings from that single round exceeded RM8,000. He said: "Side Bet City is unlike any other game. In one round, you can win from multiple directions. NX250 is definitely a platform worth trying if you enjoy live card games."
If you're used to playing Top Card or other card games on NX250, you'll find that Side Bet City offers a completely different experience. In Top Card, you compete directly against the dealer and must make tactical decisions like "hit" or "stand". In Side Bet City, your role is more like an "investor" – you choose where to place your money, and the dealer determines the outcome. Both games have their own appeal, but many NX250 players enjoy switching between the two to keep things fresh and shake up their strategy.
